Dr. Asghar H. Asghar is consultant clinical oncologist in KIRAN and Memon Medical Institute, Karachi. He has experience of 15 years in the field of oncology. He is graduate of Quaid-e-Azam Medical College Bahawalpur (1996). He did his Master in Nuclear Medicine from PIEAS University Islamabad in 2000 and then FCPS in Radiation Oncology in 2009. He is quite expert in treating all types of cancers. He is the founder member of “City Tumor Board” which is being run in Karachi for the last 13 years. He is supervisor and examiner of “College of Physician and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP)”. He is the facilitator of research methodology workshop in CPSP and motivational speaker for management courses of PAEC. He is fond of taking part in any awareness and scientific sessions related to oncology as a speaker. He has participated in many of national and international oncology conferences and received many awards and certificates of appreciations. He is the regular member of Pakistan Society of Clinical Oncology (PSCO), American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), European Society of Medical Oncology (ESMO), Federation of Asian Organizations of Radiation Oncology (FARO), Radiological Society of Pakistan (RSP) and Pakistan Medical Association (PMA). He is interested in promoting scientific and awareness activities so that the burden of cancer can be reduced in Pakistan. On accreditation of his services in the field of oncology, he was awarded gold medal by the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission in 2016.
